Dr. Cates was born and raised in Pulaski, TN. She attended The University of Tennessee Health Science Center in Memphis, TN. She loves rooting for the Tennessee Vols football team and spoiling her boxer, Floki. In addition, she enjoys fishing, hiking, and camping.
